PMG was founded in 2009 by three former executives of The Associated Press. Having spent decades applying AP's values of editorial and business integrity to a mass medium, they set themselves the goal of applying those values to carefully targeted media -- creating a portfolio of narrow but deep news products.

One lesson they learned from their collective century of experience in traditional media is that today's media companies must earn revenue from a variety of sources, while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

Their flagship product, EnergyGuardian, is designed to meet those standards.
